1. Who we are

Whack is a product of Forteen Consulting, committed to unlocking creative potential in young people. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Whack app.

2. What we collect — and what we don't

Whack is designed to be private by default. Here is exactly what happens with your data:

• Journal entries, drawings, and voice transcripts — stored only on your device using your browser's local storage. We have no access to this content at any time.
• No account required — you do not need to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any personal information to use Whack.
• No tracking or analytics — we do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics tools to monitor your behaviour within the app.
• No advertising — Whack contains no advertising and we do not share data with advertising networks.
• Voice recordings — when you use Voice mode, speech is processed locally by your device's browser (Web Speech API). Audio is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Young people and privacy

Whack is designed for young people, including those under 18. We take this responsibility seriously. Because we collect no personal data, there is no personal information about minors on our systems. Parents and guardians should be aware that journal entries are stored on the device being used. Clearing browser storage or using private/incognito mode will delete all stored entries.

4. Data stored on your device

Your entries are saved to your browser's localStorage. This means:

• Your data stays on your device and is not backed up to the cloud.
• Clearing your browser's site data or cache will permanently delete your vault.
• Different browsers or devices will have separate vaults with no shared data between them.
• You can delete all stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this app.

5. Third-party services

Whack loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). This request may log your IP address as part of normal web infrastructure. No other third-party services are used. We do not use social media login, payment processors, or external APIs that handle personal data.

6. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Whack after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

7. Terms of use

By using Whack you agree to use it for personal, non-commercial creative development. The Whack daily card experience and app interface are © 2026 Forteen Consulting. The Creative Whack Pack card framework is inspired by the work of Roger von Oech. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise any part of this application without written permission from Forteen Consulting. All creative content you produce using Whack remains entirely your own intellectual property.
